Overview
The Destinations and Strive program assists all levels of job seeker needs, from those who need minimal help to those who require more involved one-to-one job search support. Helping indviduals gain information, instruction, and support necessary to secure part-time or full-time employment.
Program Length:

- Assessment to determine needs and goals
- One-on-one meetings with an Employment Advisor
- Guidance in learning effective job search strategies including job interviewing, networking and hidden job market
- Assistance with developing resume and cover letters
- Information and referrals to the labor market and to other needed resources
- Workshops and short courses to build skills
Additional Services:
- Access to the Job Resource Center
- Computers, internet, fax and phone
- In-house job board
- Community Resource information
Funding
Destinations is funded in partnership with the Government of Alberta and is free of charge to eligible Albertans.

Who is eligible?
- Individuals with barriers to employment, including people who have disabilities
- Unemployed or marginally employed (working less than 20 hours/week)
- Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Convention Refugee
- Not attending school
- Residents within the community/area in which services are being provided
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Ready and able to address barriers to employment and work a minimum of 15-20 hours/per week

The STRIVE lll Program equips you with the skills, support, and confidence to re-enter the workforce and at no cost to you. Build job readiness, improve your digital and communication skills, and connect with employers who are hiring.

Immigrant Employment Services is here to help newcomers and immigrants build skills, connect with local employers, and find meaningful work. Our programs provide coaching, training, and support to help you get job-ready and confident about your future.
